Just a very simple look for today… I’ve been following Fifi Lapin for a while now and she’s just too cute! So I immediately bought the tee when they released it at Forever 21… It’s so comfy!

This dress is one of my favorites for a few reasons. First, I got it while I was in the Hudson Valley, as my wonderful boyfriend treated me to a shopping spree to Woodbury Commons Outlets for my birthday. (Note that this is just *one* of the reasons my bf is wonderful… not the only one!) Also, this dress is very comfortable, has pockets and I think the pattern is kind of retro.

I bought this blouse for a wedding, because I didn’t want to buy a whole new outfit (yeah, right)! I thought it would be pretty versatile, as I would be able to wear it to go to work. With the ruffled cardigan, it’s a lot of frou frou for a day!

Fans of SATC will remember Miranda saying to Steve “I don’t have enough time to tell you what’s wrong with corduroy.” Well, although Miranda is most certainly my favorite character, this skirt has proven to be versatile and comfortable. So yeah, I am wearing corduroy. Plus, this skirt has been given to me by my friend and former roommate Veronique! Check out her photography site, she’s very talented!

Need a conversation starter? Need attention at the office? I swear to you, every single person I crossed at work today had something to say about my new faux-fur vest. Most of them seemed to be investigating as to whether I had killed a cute animal for it or not… And this is when I discovered that I had an old Greenpeace calendar lying around in my cubicle. So no animals have been harmed for this outfit, but maybe some stuffed animals did get hurt…

Whoops! Did I just disappear into the Interwebs oblivion just like Geocities did today? Apparently I did! Last week was my “reading week”, so I spent all of Thursday in Christmas pajama pants and a Emily Strange hoodie… And Friday, I treated myself to some retail therapy, south of the border. I picked up a great faux-fur vest at TJ Maxx, but I still haven’t found a new watch! I guess I’ll have to get used to looking at my cell phone to get the time! (Still better than using payphones in the metro though!)

I know I’ve been wearing a lot of purple tights… But it seems like I have become allergic to pairing black with more black. I thought that this outfit would have looked pretty boring with black tights. Plus, since my shoes are black and that I have crazy big Wile E. Coyote feet, I try my best not to elongate them too much!

Let me tell you the story of how I fell in love with a bunch of owls yesterday… My coworker had only said “junk food!” and I was convinced to follow her to Harvey’s for lunch. We passed in front of Simons and I saw these cute owls on a mannequin… So after work, I had to look for this tunic… which wasn’t an easy feat! When I finally found it, it was the only one left, and I was afraid it would be too small… but it’s not and I adore it!

Whoa… ([/Keanu Reeves expression]) I’m no used to wearing such bright colors… together! This top may have been your usual, boring, classic pinstripe blouse, but look at those yellow cuffs and collar! I usually wear it alone, but today I wanted to try it with my turquoise sweater. And since I was already out of my comfort zone… I put on some leopard flats!
